Just started off to reload 9mm, bought polymer tips and realized that the expander that came with the Lee Pro 1000 was not correct for the polymer, long story short, I came across Bullet Corp, and the new expander works like a bomb, and is very easy to install. Product is properly finished, labelled properly to insure you wont get confused between the different ones. Excellent product. Thanks Bullet Corp.
I kept on getting metal shavings when loading coated bullets. After purchasing and installing this expander (which was very easy to do) I have managed to eliminate metal and coating shavings as a result of insufficient flare. This expander does not just expand/flare the case mouth but also expands deeper into the shell allowing for coated bullets to be seated without forcing the base of the bullet to change as a result of the case not being big enough to accept lead bullets.
If you are loading coated heads then this is and absolute must. It eliminates coating shaving and makes the heads seat perfectly. It made my reloading super simple.
Being very particular about bullet swaging, the expander thru plug work perfectly. Initially I was worried about working the brass too much, but after loading approximately 6000 rounds with it, it is definitely not the case. This is an absolute necessity when loading coated bullets.
Perfect case flaring. A great value for money improvement on the Lee expander. Absolutely no leading or coating residue in my barrel after 1000 plus rounds. Makes reloading Bullet Corp bullets even easier.
I got the 9mm expander thru plug and what a pleasure. It makes loading the coated bullets a breeze. It is must for all who reload the coated bullets. Had no problem with the crimping either. An excellent product that should be in every reloading kit.
